Modern Mix of Materials
The following case study uses Mackintosh Metrica Gloss White combined with Linear Grey Nebraska Oak and has been designed by Orchard Kitchens, an approved Mackintosh retailer in Egham, Surrey.
This striking open plan design contrasts gloss and woodgrain finishes and is an illustration of how well two materials can be mixed. Metrica Gloss White has been used on wall cupboards and appliance housings, with low level units using Linear Grey Nebraska Oak.
In keeping with current trends for simple, uncluttered kitchens, the doors include factory fitted steel trim handles (handle suite 656) which provide easy access to units with only a subtle intrusion on the sleek design.
In the same way that the units contrast, the worktops have also been designed to mirror this, with Silestone worktops in polished white and a darker, thicker granite effect Silestone worktop used to create the breakfast bar area.
The kitchen is completed with bi-fold patio doors, bathing the kitchen in natural light, creating an airy feel.
